We have an in-house construction team to ensure the seamless delivery of your garden and landscape. Specialist plantsman work with you to ensure planting is manageable depending on your gardening needs, from low maintenance to more specialist planting designs welcome. Our friendly team love creating unique gardens just for you.
Director: Landscape Architect & Garden Designer
Matthew’s initial passion began working in community gardens encouraging local people to create green spaces to grow food, flowers and develop friendships. He has worked in the landscape design industry for over 30 years and has extensive experience in designing and building landscapes. He qualified as a Landscape Architect and Garden Designer after completing his postgraduate diploma and then went on to study for a Masters in Construction Project Management in 2005.
Builders & Horticulturalists
Our Construction team is led by Jeff Olson who has worked with Apt Studios from the early days and project manages the construction of designs. He directs the landscaping teams on site to ensure they work efficiently, within timescales and maintain attention to detail and quality of works. He is great with clients and keeping our projects on track. Our guys are polite and work hard they are often complemented and told they ‘are a pleasure to have on site’.
Director & Garden Designer
Pippa previously a social worker for 20years, has joined her husband in the family business. She is an all rounder, and can be found managing the office, human resources, accounts and occasionally can be seen on site – joining in with the planting team to get the jobs completed on time. Recently qualified as a garden designer with a flair for Concepts and Handdrawn Designs.
Garden Designer
Mathew and Tom, listened to our brief, and were very attentive in creating a garden that would enhance the natural features of the barn. We worked closely with Tom, who came up with initial design ideas. We loved the concept and variety of materials and planting he was suggesting, although for our purposes we needed the design to be simplified. They listened carefully to our thoughts then resubmitted version 2 which we loved. …. It’s given us an extra ‘room’ that we just love spending time in.
